Privacy Policy
Effective September 13, 2026This policy explains how FlashtorialApps operates CareerPilot AI and processes information when you use its mobile apps and website.
Information you provide
We process your account email, name, authentication information, and professional profile. A resume may contain your contact details, location, employment history, education, certifications, skills, and achievements. We also process job links and descriptions, career preferences, saved opportunities, fit analyses, application records, and resume, cover-letter, outreach, and interview drafts. Only submit information you have the right to share. Avoid unnecessary sensitive information such as government identifiers, financial details, or health information.
How we use information
We use information to authenticate you, store and synchronize your workspace, extract resume facts, assess job fit, identify gaps, prepare application drafts and interview guidance, maintain security, troubleshoot failures, and respond to support and deletion requests. Scores are informational estimates, not hiring predictions.
Resume and AI processing
Uploaded PDF resumes are stored in Firebase Storage and read by our server to extract text. When you use resume analysis, extracted resume text is sent to OpenAI. Job analysis sends the job description and relevant extracted profile information to OpenAI to generate fit analysis and preparation materials. The original PDF is not sent directly to OpenAI by this implementation. Do not use these features if you do not want this processing. Review AI outputs for inaccuracies and do not rely on them as professional advice.
Service providers and sharing
Google Firebase provides Authentication, Firestore database storage, file storage, hosting, and server functions. OpenAI processes prompts for AI features. Google sign-in is optional and involves Google account authentication. When you paste a job URL, our server may request that website; the website may receive technical request information, but we do not include your resume profile in that request. Providers may process technical and security information under their own policies. We may disclose information when legally required, to protect users and the service, or as part of a business transfer with appropriate safeguards.
Technical information and advertising
Infrastructure providers may process IP addresses, browser or device information, authentication events, server logs, and security diagnostics. The current app does not include Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics, or an advertising SDK. We do not sell your personal information or use your resume for targeted advertising.
Storage and security
Your workspace is stored using Firebase services. Account access is protected through authentication and access rules. Data may be processed in the United States and other countries where providers operate. No system is perfectly secure; safeguard your credentials and device. Files you export or share outside CareerPilot AI are under your control.
Retention and deletion
We generally retain workspace information while your account is active. Profile → Privacy & legal → Delete account initiates deletion after identity verification. The web deletion page is https://careerpilotai.flashtorial.com/deleteaccount/. The automated process removes your Firebase Authentication account, profile and its subcollections, uploaded resumes, saved opportunities and analyses, application records, and legacy user-owned recommendations. Cleanup retries automatically if a step fails. A minimal technical deletion marker containing the account ID and processing status prevents stale requests from recreating data; completed markers are removed after at least 24 hours by a periodic cleanup. Provider backups, logs, legally required records, and information already processed by external providers may persist under their retention policies. Downloaded or shared copies are not removed. Contact support if deletion does not complete.
Your choices and rights
You can review and edit profile details, remove individual saved opportunities, export drafts, avoid AI processing, and delete your account. Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing, and to complain to a relevant regulator. Contact us to make a request; we may need to verify ownership. Mandatory local privacy rights remain unaffected.
Children
CareerPilot AI is intended for adults aged 18 and over, not children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.
Changes and contact
